The Inpatient Manager provides administrative and clinical oversight of SCG Inpatient Programs. The inpatient manager assists the Operations Director and Program Director in development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of Sanctum Care Group operations in accordance with best practice and Sanctum Care Group policy and procedures. This includes HR, recruitment, personnel oversight, and providing on- going quality improvement monitors to ensure current standards are met and ensuring that staff have the appropriate skills and education to meet the needs of the organization and the clients we serve. The inpatient Manager must be Committed to the organization’s trauma informed approach to care and harm reduction principles, ensuring all interactions are dignified, non judgemental, unconditional, and provided without prejudice, living the mission and values of Sanctum Care Group.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the quality and safety of all clients in the care of Sanctum Care Group inc.
- Responsible for ensuring that the programs and services within Sanctum Care Group are equipped to meet the high standards of the organization and the individuals its seeks to serve.
- Ensures standards of client care are met within all the Sanctum Care Group Inc.
- Crisis Management & address concerns involving personnel and/or clients
- Ensures smooth daily operations and steady progress towards established organizational goals
- Ensure that all licencing standards are met including OHS and inspections
- Maintain policies that direct the staff of SCG
- Ensure that all homes have the appropriate supplies needed to provide clinical care and other tasks
- Address any maintenance concerns within a timely manner
- Identifies problems and communicates solutions to appropriate personnel
- Keeps open communication with all staff and visiting medical professionals
- Holds staff meetings to provide opportunity for participative planning
- Assisting with Donor relations by managing communication, recognition and maintaining ongoing communications with the Organizations Donor community.
- Overseeing & Training Supervisory staff to provide training and appropriate delegation of duties and general schedule coverage.
- Weekly Charting & Database Audits
- Human resource duties such as:
- Approve Weekly hours for payroll
- Scheduling review
- Conducting and documenting annual employee performance reviews
- Addressing all employee grievances
- Recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Staff engagement and communications, including the organization and leading of employee staff meetings and other functions
- Ensuring appropriate documentation and interviews are conducted upon exit of employees
- Ensuring all Saskatchewan Labour Laws are strictly and consistently adhered to
- Oversight and responsibility for the maintenance of the Organizations property, and liaising with service providers to ensure the general upkeep of the Organization’s facilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree or diploma in a healthcare or management program is required.
- 5 years of management within healthcare. Experience with duties including human resource management as well as experience training staff.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work confidently and independently to resolve problems.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Event planning and coordination experience considered an asset.
